Parallel Narratives was honored to join a rich convergence of international storytellers at the 2021 Chennai Storytelling Festival. This year, the CSF was hosted virtually via Zoom over the course of 4 weekends throughout the month of February. Nearly 150 tellers from around the world shared their gifts in a marathon of 27-hour live sets to accommodate time zones spanning the globe.
The festival also hosted scholars and practitioners that explore the use of storytelling for healing: including Laura Simms, Grian A. Culanda and our own Trish Denton. The World Storytelling Institute maintains a video library of the sessions, where you are welcome to browse a sumptuous cornucopia of these storytelling performances and workshops. This is an amazing resource for expansive exposure to the oral storytelling tradition across continents!
